Illegality of "UN Command" Disclosed by Foreign Websites
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- Foreign websites posted articles disclosing the illegality of the "UN Command" cooked up by the U.S. by abusing the name of the United Nations.

The German newspaper Die Tages Zeitung and the Institute for Globalization of Canada on Sept. 21 posted on their websites articles saying that the establishment and existence of the "UN Command" are in violation of the UN Charter.

The articles said that the U.S. illegally made up the "UN Command" in disregard of the UN Charter in July 1950.

The articles went on:

Now the UN recognizes that the "UN Command" has no relations with it. If the UN allows the U.S. continued abuse of the name of "UN Command", it is little short of conniving at the U.S. violation of the UN Charter.

If the "UN Command" has "duty" and "authority" to take part in the administration of the Korean Armistice Agreement as contended by the U.S., the UN Security Council should politically and strategically govern the "UN Command" because the UNSC is in a position to provide political leadership over the use of armed forces under the UN Charter.

Otherwise the UN Charter will continue to be misused as a tool for justifying the U.S. unilateral acts disguised as UN acts in the future, too.

Websites of the Rostov Association for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, Group for Solidarity with the DPRK and Rostov-Na-Donu Anti-Bourgeois Front of Russia and the Ukrainian internet paper Obektsivnaya Gazeta carried similar articles including the one titled "Illegal 'UN Command'" from Sept. 16 to 19.
