In this regard, Denis Samsonov, 3rd secretary of the Russian embassy, had an interview with KCNA prior to the final matches on Sunday.

Noting that he took part in basketball and other events, he said:

"The Russian embassy team has advanced into the finals in all the three events, football, volleyball and basketball. I believe that my team will produce good results in the matches.

The contest is greatly helpful to deepening interests and partnership among diplomats of different countries.

I think it is a very good occasion in further promoting understanding among countries. I hope for frequent holding of such sports contest.
