Anniversary of DPRK Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- World progressives significantly celebrated the 65th anniversary of the DPRK with great joy.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un received congratulatory messages from the heads of state of various countries including the presidents of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Brazil, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Namibia on the occasion of the anniversary which fell on September 9.

The president of the Council of State of Cuba, the king of Cambodia, the foreign minister of Bangladesh, the minister of State for Foreign Affairs of India, the international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden and other dignitaries of various circles including those of political parties and ministries of governments sent floral baskets and bouquets to the DPRK embassies in their countries and paid congratulatory visits to its missions.

Foreign political parties and organizations and figures of various circles in their statements lauded President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for their exploits performed in the nation-building, convinced of the immensely rosy future of the DPRK led by supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

They included the Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union, the Switzerland-Korea Committee, the British Staffordshire Branch of the Korean Friendship Association, the Austrian Solidarity Committee of Trade Union Members for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain and the secretary general of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea.

A Kimjongilia exhibition was held in Dalian, China, a national seminar took place in India and a national meeting in Peru on the occasion of the anniversary. Colorful events took place in over 100 countries including Russia, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos, Germany, Britain, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions introducing the true picture of Songun Korea took place in various countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Italy and Tunisia, drawing keen interest of visitors.

A Nepalese paper, the Indonesian paper International Media, Mega Miru, internet website of Irkutsk, Russia and other foreign media gave wide publicity to the invincible might of the DPRK.

The Syrian Central TV, Guinean Domestic, International and 7 National Languages Broadcasting Services and the State Radio Broadcasting Service of Equatorial Guinea in their programs praised the path of victory and glory covered by the DPRK, a country centered on the popular masses and a symbol of sovereignty and dignity.
