What merits a serious attention is that the ministry published it with the approach of the 6th anniversary of the October 4 declaration. Had the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors neither denied the north-south joint declarations nor opposed their implementation, the June 15 era of reunification would have made a steady advance and the inter-Korean relations would have not deteriorated. That is why all compatriots have strongly called for the implementation of north-south joint declarations, vehemently denouncing traitor Lee Myung Bak for bringing the inter-Korean relations to a collapse. Pressurized by this public mind-set, the present chief executive of south Korea mentioned the issue of implementing the October 4 declaration during her "election campaign" last year. Was this a deceptive artifice to garner votes to come to power? If not, did mandarins of the Ministry of Unification publish an anti-reunification document of confrontation rattling the nerves of the DPRK quite c

ontrary to her intention? If this question is left unanswered, this will render the situation more serious.

Now that the inter-Korean relations stand at the crossroads of mending or deterioration, the south Korean regime should clearly clarify its stand and attitude toward the north-south joint declarations and rescind its anti-reunification plan based on its policy of confrontation with compatriots.
