Introduced there were over 150 research papers helpful to solving the scientific and technological issues arising in developing the coal industry of the country.

Appreciated there were research findings that can make contributions to increasing coal production such as the structural improvement of the wheels of the coal wagon presented by the Central Mining Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, the enhancement of the reliability and stability of the detonating cord in the field of the mining presented by Phyongsong University of Coal Mining, the new type cone-shaped blade disintegrator presented by the Tokchon Coal Mine and the wireless blaster for coal mining presented by the Invention Office.

Also highly appreciated were the introduction of the modern pneumatic coal-dressing plant suited to the conditions of the DPRK which was presented by the Coal Dressing Institute of the Branch Academy of Coal and the 3-D underground information system presented by the Environmental Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.
