President Kim Il Sung set forth the Three Principles of National Reunification through the July 4 joint statement in 1972 and advanced a proposal for founding the DFRK in October, 1980.

Leader Kim Jong Il formulated the proposals for reunification set forth by the President as three charters for national reunification and worked heart and soul for the reunification of the country.

The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration were made public thanks to his boundless love for the nation, broad magnanimity and great and courageous determination.

Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the DPRK, has wisely led the Korean people to accomplish the cause of national reunification true to the behests of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

He clarified that he would join hands with anyone who truly wants the reunification of the country and the peace and prosperity of the nation, when referring to the issue of the inter-Korean relations.

The Korean people will surely achieve the cause of national reunification under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

I extend an unequivocal support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for the reunification of the country.
