Researcher of Kim Chaek University of Technology Jo Tok Hui received the title of academician and head of a department Ryom Pyong Ho and teacher of Pyongyang Medical College Choe Chan Sok of Kim Il Sung University and Director of History Institute of Academy of Social Sciences Jo Hui Sung received the title of candidate academician.

The professorship went to Jo Yong Bong, rector of Law College of Kim Il Sung University; Kang Won Hyok, teacher of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University; Jon Kyong Nam, president of University of National Economy; Ri Tong Sik, vice-rector of Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics; Sim Jong Do, director of Vinalon Institute of Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences; and others.

The doctorate was awarded to 49 including head of a department Jo Kil Hyon and office chief Jo Yong Nam of Kim Il Sung University, Jong Kwang Hyon, head of a department of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, dean of a faculty Jong Thae Du, head of a department Kim Il Byong, director of an institute Ri Jun Gi, office chief Ri Son Hwa and teacher Jong Tok Yong of Kim Chaek University of Technology, and Rim Kon Yong, head of a department of Pyongyang University of Architecture. The title of associate professor was awarded to 118 people.
