Meeting for Solidarity with Cuba Held
Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- There took place at DPRK-Cuba Friendship Moranbong Secondary School No.1 a solidarity meeting on Thursday on the occasion of the month of international solidarity for the release of Cuban patriots.

Present there on invitation were German Hermin Ferras Alvarez, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Present were Choe Han Chun, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea who is chairman of the Korean Committee for the Release of Cuban Patriots, officials concerned and teachers and students of the school.

The speakers at the meeting referred to the fact that the U.S. arrested Cuban patriots and sentenced them to jail terms on the charge of "spies" although they bravely fought against the anti-Cuban terrorist organizations.

The U.S. economic blockade can not dampen the revolutionary will of the Cuban people in their just struggle, they noted.

The bilateral friendly relations established by President Kim Il Sung and respected Fidel Castro Ruz will be ever-lasting, they stressed.

The attendants went round a room dedicated to the history of the school and a "room for friendship with Cuba" and classroom for "Jose Marti Class" and other places of the school, being briefed on the fact that the students of the school are growing up to be future pillars of the country.

They enjoyed an art performance given by students.
