The desire of the nation for reunification is facing a grave obstacle, the statement said, condemning the south Korean puppet group for turning its face away from the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and persisting in its moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK.

The denial of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration precisely means confrontation and war. This is the main review and lesson drawn from the past six years.

Now is the time for all the Koreans to turn out in the action to put an end to confrontation with fellow countrymen, achieve national reconciliation and unity and pave a new path of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by their concerted efforts.

All the Koreans at home and abroad should resolutely shatter the moves of the puppet conservative group to escalate the confrontation and its fascist clampdown and turn out as one in the just patriotic action to defend and implement the north-south joint declarations, holding higher the banner of "By our nation itself".

Difficulties and ordeals are still lying in the way of the movement for national reunification but the cause of national reunification is sure to triumph as long as there are the wise leadership of the great brilliant commander of Songun and the programmes for reunification common to the nation.
