He urged all counties in the country to develop the local economy on a higher level and further improve the people's living standard as required by the new century.

With the 50th anniversary of the Changsong Joint Conference as an occasion, he took all measures to build up Changsong County as a model of local economic development.

In August Juche 101 (2012) he made public a work "Let Us Build All Counties into People's Paradise Good to Live in by Embodying Spirit of Historic Changsong Joint Conference". The work indicates the tasks and ways for glorifying the feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il forever and strengthening the counties and enhancing their role in keeping with the requirements of the new century.

In June this year he toured various parts of Changsong County, saying that the county associated with devoted efforts of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il should lead the whole country in developing the local economy. He called upon the county to take the lead in production of processed wild fruits.

Visiting the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, he noted with high appreciation that its products are as good as those produced at central factories.

At Changsong Restaurant and Changsong Noodle House he told that everything should be done to win favor of inhabitants and it is the standard of any work to meet their demand and interests.

He also toured the Undok Health Complex under construction, saying that he attached importance to it and that Changsong County should be a good model in every aspect for the whole country to follow.

Under his deep care, greater changes are being made in Changsong County with each passing day.

　The feats performed by the peerlessly great men for the county's development will remain long in the history of the country.
