America's War against People of Korea Is Historical Record of U.S. War Crimes

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) --Michel Chossudovsky, professor of economics at the University of Ottawa, Canada who is also prominent author posted an article titled "America's War against the People of Korea Is the Historical Record of U.S. War Crimes" on the internet paper Global Research on September 22. Recalling that the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) was signed on July 27, 1953, the article said: The U.S., a belligerent party, has consistently posed a war threat to the DPRK for over six decades despite the conclusion of the AA. It abused the UN Charter for using the AA for justifying its military presence in south Korea, still posing a military threat to the DPRK. It has pursued a policy of war, not peace. Citing the concrete facts to prove that the Korean war was launched according to the carefully worked out U.S. scenario, the article noted that the U.S. has worked hard to politically isolate the DPRK and destabilize its economy for the past six decades. The U.S. has also stood in the way of Korea's reunification, it noted, and continued: It put the whole political system in south Korea under its control. The U.S. military presence in south Korea exercised predominant influence on its economic and financial policy. The U.S. and its allies have waged numerous wars and military interventions in all major regions of the world in the course of what is euphemistically called "post war era." But the U.S. is upheld as the guardian of democracy and world peace. The lie becomes the truth. Realities are turned upside down. History is rewritten. Since the end of the Korean war, U.S. led propaganda--funneled into south Korean news chain--has relentlessly contributed to fomenting conflict and divisiveness between north and south Korea, presenting the DPRK as a threat to the security of south Korea. The disgusting "theory of threat from north Korea" mars the conception that Korea is one and the same nation with one history. Disclosing the fact that the U.S. has worked hard to realize its strategy for world domination since the Korean war, the article went on: What is important is that many people in the U.S. and the West began to understand the U.S., not the DPRK, is the threat to global peace. The DPRK and the U.S. are in state of war. If the U.S. uses nuclear weapons against the DPRK, south Korea will also suffer. The U.S. military operation designers know well about this fact. What should be stressed before mentioning the negotiations for a peace agreement is that the U.S. is not a true ally of south Korea. Withdrawal of the U.S. forces is prerequisite to peace agreement. |
