Sportspersons Distributed with New Housing Flats
Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A new dwelling apartment for sportspersons was built on the bank of the Pothong River in Pyongyang.

The 27-storied apartment is well harmonized with monumental buildings, including the People's Palace of Culture and the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium located across the river.

Its exterior is decorated in a peculiar way to suit the emotional feelings of sportspersons.

The four-room flat is furnished with 19 kinds of quality furniture, kitchen utensils, water heater and air-conditioner.

The apartment houses a clinic, a restaurant and a laundry in its first floor and underground.

Constructors had finished its building in less than 5 months after its groundbreaking, encouraged by the loving care shown by the Workers' Party of Korea for the sportspersons, who glorify the nation's honor in international tournaments.

They had applied a series of new construction methods and went on working even in rainy season, rounding off the building as scheduled.

Ri Yong Chol, an official of the construction command, told KCNA:

"I feel a great honor and pride as being a constructor in the look of the sportspersons and their families, who are rejoiced over having moved to these new flats.

I'll devote myself to building modern housing flats, which would contribute to bettering the people's livelihood."
