The speakers recalled at the round-table talks that leader Kim Jong Il provided the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, the programme for implementing the former, with his ardent patriotism, immensely broad-minded caliber and great magnanimity, highly praising him as the father of the Korean nation who devoted his all to the reunification of the country.

They assailed the south Korean authorities for driving the relations between the north and the south into a catastrophe again though they had favorably developed thanks to the positive efforts of the DPRK.

The south Korean authorities should stop chilling the desire of the nation for reconciliation and unity if they truly stand for improved inter-Korean relations and reunification, they urged.

They expressed belief that the Korean people would meet all challenges and surely achieve the reunification of the country under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
