It said that although she passed away she has been praised as a mother of Korea who brought up the great sun of Songun.

The statement went on:

She embarked upon the road of revolution in her early days and joined the Korean People's Revolutionary Army organized and led by President Kim Il Sung and devoted her all to the liberation of the country.

In the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle she was well known as an example of a genuine revolutionary who protected and defended Kim Il Sung politically and ideologically and at the cost of her life, a female partisan general and a sharp shooter.

After the liberation she put her heart and soul into building the new democratic Korea, bolstering the revolutionary armed forces and firmly strengthening the Democratic Women's Union of Korea.

She brought up leader Kim Jong Il as a great revolutionary, an immortal contribution to the completion of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Her revolutionary exploits will remain long in the hearts of progressive humankind and followers of the Juche idea and Songun idea.
