An article titled "The WPK marking its 68th anniversary" noted that Kim Il Sung formed the "Down-with Imperialism Union" in the early days when he embarked upon the road of revolution and thus gave the origin to the founding of the new type revolutionary party and firmly provided the organizing and ideological groundwork for founding the party amid the flames of the anti-Japanese war.

It referred to the fact that celebrations to mark the 65th anniversary of the DPRK were splendidly held in the presence of Marshal Kim Jong Un and that the DPRK players have registered good successes in the international games amid the hot wind of sports sweeping across the country.
