The statement said:

The Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt recognizes that the way for the peaceful reunification and prosperity of Korea lies in implementing the October 4 declaration, and fully supports the declaration together with the world peace-loving people.

The declaration clearly indicates the ways for definitely turning the north-south relations into those of mutual respect and trust, establishing the lasting peace mechanism on the Korean Peninsula and expanding and developing the cooperation and exchange between the north and the south in various fields.

If the declaration had been implemented, a bright vista would have been opened for Korea's reunification.

But the October 4 declaration has been denied due to the continued anti-reunification moves of the south Korean authorities blindly following the foreign forces, and the danger of confrontation and war have been created on the Korean Peninsula.

The denial of the October 4 declaration will only lead to the war and confrontation.

The south Korean authorities will have to promptly respond to the demands of the Korean people and world peace-loving people desirous of Korea's reunification, away from the stand of persistently denying historic October 4 declaration.
