Rim Jong Sim lifted 117 kg in snatch and 148 kg in jerk in the 69 kg category of women's weightlifting event on Tuesday, setting the new records of the games and winning a gold medal.

Kim Un Ju succeeded 113 kg in snatch and 153 kg in jerk in the women's 75 kg category event to bag a gold medal.

Kim Ok Byol became a runner-up in the women's 75 kg category event to win a silver medal. Choe Hyo Sim came third in the women's 58 kg category event to win a bronze medal.

Kim Un Hyang came second in women's 10-meter platform diving while Kim Sun Bom and So Myong Hyok came third in men's pair 10-meter platform diving.

Kim Chun Mi came third in women's 10 000-meter race to win a bronze medal.
