Established on Oct. 12, Juche 52 (1963), the factory has turned into a modern consumer goods producer thanks to the wise guidance and warm care of the party and the illustrious leaders.

The factory has made a positive contribution to improving the people's standard of living by producing hundreds of millions of pieces of knitwear for 50 years true to the Workers' Party of Korea's light industrial policy.

The officials and workers of the factory have always been pace-setters in honoring national economic plans. They carried out their high production quotas even during the Arduous March, forced march.

Its yearly plans were honored on all indices in recent years.

The technicians of the factory advanced at least 190 technical innovation proposals and inventions including development of programs for aiding knitwear machines and improvement of devices for feeding yarn to the machines and introduced them into production, improving the quality of products and raising productivity and registering successes in technological updating of equipment and processes.

The factory has conducted the work for turning it into a modern socialist one, giving face-lift to its appearance.
