Kim Jong Un Guides Maneuvers of Newly Built Warships

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, looked round newly built warships and guided their maneuvers. He was accompanied by Ri Yong Gil, Kim Myong Sik, Ju Kyu Chang and Hong Yong Chil. He was greeted on the spot by officials of the relevant unit which built the warships. Scientists, technicians and workers of the DPRK built new type warships of Korean-style based on the latest achievements of military science and technology by displaying all their creative wisdom and enthusiasm in hearty response to the tasks given by Kim Jong Un on building modern warships necessary for rounding off the combat preparations of the navy. He learnt in detail about the displacement and speed of the warships and weapons and combat and technological equipment aboard them, etc. He praised the scientists, technicians and workers for successfully building the modern warships which are on a high level of intelligence and light in weight in a brief span of time true to the Party's idea on pushing back the frontiers of latest science and technology. He guided maneuvers of the warships. He was greatly satisfied to watch the high maneuverability and striking capability of the warships. Noting that the new warships are fully capable of displaying their performance under any combat circumstances, he expressed great pleasure with the induction of more powerful means into the navy for rounding off its combat preparations. He set forth important tasks to be fulfilled to bolster up the naval force and steadily increase its naval operation combat capability as required by a modern warfare. |
