Finnish Organization Supports Korea's Reunification
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The Paektu Society of Finland released a statement on October 5 on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the historic October 4 declaration.

The statement said that six years have passed since General Secretary Kim Jong Il met former south Korean President Roh Moo Hyun.

It added:

At the north-south summit the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration was reaffirmed and "the Declaration for the Development of North-South Relations and Peace and Prosperity" was adopted and announced.

The October 4 declaration is a programme for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

The declarations serve as a landmark of Korea's reunification.

The world progressive people warmly welcomed the historic inter-Korean declarations.

But they have not been implemented as yet.

The south Korean conservative ruling forces openly denied the principled issues set forth in the declarations, deteriorating the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The reason that the October 4 declaration has not yet been implemented is that the U.S. staged war maneuvers in the region of the peninsula, pursuant to its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The desire of Koreans to live peacefully has not yet come true due to the U.S. and the south Korean conservative forces.

Extending the support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for realizing the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, we strongly demand the south Korean regime have correct attitude and stand on the inter-Korean declarations and stop the aggressive joint military exercises with the U.S.

Korea will be surely reunified under the wise guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
