State Commendations Awarded to Persons of Merit

| Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK awarded state commendations to service personnel, workers and officials who made sincere efforts for sprucing up the area of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun. The relevant decree was promulgated on October 9. According to it, the title of the Labor Hero of the DPRK was awarded to Ri Son Chol and Kim Jin Nam and Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize to Kim Chong Song, Kye Jong Jin and Ri Son Gun. The title of Merited Designer went to one person, the title of Merited Driver to two persons, Order of National Flag 1st Class to 64, Order of Labor to 40, Order of National Flag 2nd Class to 566, Order of Soldier's Honor 1st Class to 52, Order of National Flag 3rd Class to 855, Order of Soldier's Honor 2nd Class to 110, Distinguished Military Service Medal to 171 and Medal of Merit to 1 409. The number of the recipients totals 3 275. |
