DPRK Honorary Doctorate Conferred on WHO Regional Office Director

| Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The DPRK honorary doctorate of medical science was awarded to Samlee Plianbangchang, director of the Regional Office for South-East Asia of the World Health Organization (WHO). He made a great contribution to setting up the telemedicine system, developing the clinical and basic science including cardiovascular surgery, laparoscope, stem cell and improving the medical service in the DPRK. An awarding ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Wednesday. |
