DPRK Sportspersons Back Home from East Asian Games

| Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Sportspersons of the DPRK came back home on Thursday after taking part in the 6th East Asian Games held in Tianjin, China. The games brought together thousands of players from countries and regions of East Asia. DPRK players bagged 8 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 22 bronze medals. They were warmly greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station by Kim Yong Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, and officials in the sports field. Sportspersons put garlands around the necks of the players and coaches and gave bouquets to them, congratulating them on their successes. |
