The statement said a bright vista for realizing the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea was opened with the publication of the historic declaration, expressing belief that all the Korean people in the north and the south and abroad would certainly achieve the country's reunification in firm unity under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

It urged the south Korean authorities to immediately stop the war exercises to invade the north, drive the GIs out of south Korea and bring down the concrete wall.

The south Korean authorities' smear campaign against the DPRK getting all the more vicious as the days go by is a reckless provocation against its people in their efforts to firmly defend the idea and cause of their leader and the sovereignty and dignity of the country, the statement said.

It stressed that they were sending full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for achieving the country's reunification in an independent and peaceful way in the idea of "By our nation itself".
