Present there were members of the DPRK youth friendship delegation led by Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League on a visit to China.

Staff and students of the university attended.

Speeches were made there.

Speakers said that the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations provided and brought into bloom by President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Chinese revolutionaries of elder generations have long-standing historical roots and tradition.

They noted that the friendship and exchange between the youth of the DPRK and China grow stronger day by day amid the deep concern of the top leaders of the two countries.

Noting that the youth are flowers of the country and nation and proud masters of the future, they expressed the belief that the traditional DPRK-China relations of friendship would further develop by the common efforts of the youth of the two countries.

The meeting was followed by a performance given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the young artistes of China.

The performance began with the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung" by the art squad. Female solo "Thinking of the General," Dance "Janggu Dance", instrumental ensemble "Let Youth Run like Express Train", mixed chorus "Our Leader Loved by the People", Chinese song "Red Flag Flutters High" and other numbers gave deep impressions to the audience.

Young Chinese artistes conspicuously decorated the stage with numbers like female solo "Beautiful Hometown" and Korean dance "Platycodon".

Warm sentiment of friendship between the youth of the two countries pervaded the meeting venue.
