Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Han Tong Song, director of the Information and Cultural Department, So Chung On, director of the International Affairs and Reunification Department, Kim Hwa Hyo, chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, and other officials of Chongryon and compatriots.

Speakers said that the moves of Park Geun Hye and the conservative group of south Korea to escalate confrontation with the DPRK have reached an intolerable phase.

It is the Park's group which is driving the inter-Korean relations into a catastrophe again though they had been put on the orbit of dialogue thanks to the sincere efforts of the DPRK, they charged.

They condemned the puppet group's malignant mud-slinging at the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and its social system as the worst act of treachery.

The "collapse of the north", "confidence-building process on the Korean Peninsula" and "the theory of principle" touted by the Park group are the heinous policies of confrontation challenging the aspiration of the fellow countrymen for reunification, and the "second principal plan for the development of the south-north relations" which specified them is an anti-reunification document aimed at totally scrapping the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, they noted.

They urged the Park group to stop at once the treacherous act of chilling the aspiration of the nation and stemming the trend of the times and moves against national reunification. -0-

They said that all the officials of Chongryon and compatriots will turn out as one in the nationwide struggle to expose the moves of the south Korean conservative group for escalating confrontation and thoroughly preserve and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration by the concerted efforts of the whole nation, bearing in mind the conviction that the cause of national reunification will be realized without fail as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
