Russian Orchestra Visits Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The Orchestra of the 21st Century of Russia led by Pavel Ovsyannikov, head and chief conductor of the orchestra, visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum here on Friday. The guests paid tribute to the statue of President Kim Il Sung acknowledging the cheers of masses at the square where a military parade was held to celebrate the victory in the war. They laid bouquets before sculpture "Victory", the Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War, and paid high tribute to the officers and men of the heroic Korean People's Army. They went round various halls, being briefed on the undying leadership feats Kim Il Sung performed in winning a brilliant victory in defending the country and in the anti-imperialist struggle with his outstanding military wisdom, strategy and tactics and ardent patriotism and heroic fighting spirit displayed by the army and people of the DPRK during the Fatherland Liberation War. At the end of the visit Pavel Ovsyannikov wrote in the visitor's book that the museum is a place which clearly shows the world people the great feats the Korean people performed in winning the victory in the war under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung. Prior to it, the guests visited the International Friendship Exhibition House. |
