DPRK Praised by Nigerian Organization

Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea posted on its website an article titled "Hot wind of sports in DPRK" on October 9. The article said the hot wind of sports sweeps the DPRK, adding this would be unthinkable apart from supreme leader Kim Jong Un. The article went on: It is Kim Jong Un's firm resolve and will to rank the DPRK among sports powers within a few years. Epoch-making measures for developing the sports were taken in succession such as the establishment of regular guidance system over sports and the consolidation of scientific system of training reserves amid his deep concern. He gave instructions concerning sporting skills, tactical system and training methods and indicated the orientation and ways for building a sports power including issues of developing the sports science, doing the work of selecting and training players in a far-sighted way, popularizing physical culture and sports and making sports part of daily life. He watched the training of players and their games several times though he was busy leading the overall state affairs. He also met winners in international games and highly appreciated them. And he watched games of working people and servicemen. He shows special concern over the work of providing wonderful stadium and sports facilities to sportspersons and other people. The sports enthusiasm mounting in the DPRK is resulting in wonderful successes in international games. The DPRK players have continuously proved successful this year. The country is vigorously advancing toward the sports power amid ever-growing zeal for sports. |
