Participants in KPA Meeting Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 4th meeting of company commanders and political instructors of the Korean People's Army Sunday visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. They laid bouquets before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of the President, and Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok, his parents, and paid tribute. Then they went round historical relics preserved with much care in his thatch-roofed house in Mangyongdae. They also visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong. They laid bouquets before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and made a bow. They also laid bouquets on the wreath-laying stand of the cemetery and observed a moment's silence in memory of the revolutionary martyrs. They went to the Rungna People's Pleasure Park. At the Rungna Dolphinarium they visited the water tank for performance, auxiliary tank, room for disseminating scientific and technological knowledge and welfare service facilities. They were delighted at dolphins displaying various tricks to the tune of cheerful music. They also enjoyed themselves at the Rungna Funfair. |
