In order to provide the best people in the world with the best water park true to the behests of leader Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un initiated the construction of the park and chose its site.

He gave a series of earnest instructions to build the park well and clearly indicated orientation and ways of construction ranging from designing and formation of construction force to supply of materials.

He entrusted the whole project to the People's Army and visited it several times to acquaint himself with construction force, performance of machines involved and supply of materials and confirmed where each building and facility should be built.

He set right even a trifling defect which even experts failed to consider in order to have the color gypsum statue of Kim Jong Il erected in the lobby of the indoor wading pool on the best level.

Saying that shops of the water park should be built to suit their nature as service facilities, he personally drew a picture and gave meticulous instructions regarding the display of goods.

At the indoor wading pool where wooden scaffolds were seen here and there, he taught a new building method.

He gave meticulous instructions to paint the support pillars of the water slides white, have a large clock hung on the wall of the indoor wading pool and install sound equipment to please visitors and choose shapes and colors of furniture for different parts of the water park.

He visited the construction sites late at night and at dawn several times in order to provide a modern recreation complex to the people. He went round the water park on Sunday to acquaint himself in detail with the preparations for its inauguration.

The park has thus been built into the complex for people's recreation rare to be seen in its scale and contents thanks to his grand plan and tireless and energetic leadership.
