The flowerpot was invented by Kim Hyo Su, a resident in Wonsan City.

The pot is calcined with additives of salt, powder of Kumgang medical stone, etc.

It is glost-fired for three rounds to fully ensure esthetic appearance.

Carved in relief with various patterns, the flowerpot consists of two or three steps.

The new kind of flowerpot is massively used in the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute and greenhouses in Kangwon Province.

The technique of making the flowerpot was certified as one of the national scientific and technological successes. The flowerpot also won the first prize at the National Flower Exhibition, which was held on October 8-12 in Pyongyang.
