The Syrian paper Al Nour carried articles titled "Workers' Party of Korea" and "New Era of Building Thriving Nation" under the headline "WPK and 68 Years of Struggle". The paper said the WPK founded and led by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, eternal leaders of the Korean people, is the revolutionary party of the working class and the party of working masses, explaining in detail the party's character and duty.

The paper went on:

The Korean people are led by the great successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche Marshal Kim Jong Un, who is identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the idea, leadership, traits and virtues.

The Korean people will as ever dynamically advance along the road of socialism, holding aloft the red flag of the revolution with firm faith in sure victory, closely united around Kim Jong Un.

The papers Al Thawrah and Al Baath referred to the history of the WPK which has always won victory after victory without a single mistake or deviation from its line under the wise leadership of the great brilliant commanders of Songun.

The WPK is now bringing about eye-opening miracles and innovations in building an economic power, invariably holding high the banner of Songun, the papers said, adding:

The Korean people will achieve bigger progress and prosperity in the era of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK.
