Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union and the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued a joint statement on October 15 in support of the statement of the spokesman for the DPRK National Defence Commission (NDC) and a statement of the spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry. The statement said: A grave atmosphere of confrontation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula again due to the recent vicious hostile acts of the U.S. imperialists, chieftain of aggression and war, against the DPRK. The U.S. came out with brigandish logic that it will opt for dialogue with the DPRK and conclude the non-aggression pact when the latter starts the denuclearization first. The root cause of the nuclear issue on the peninsula entirely lies in that the U.S. forces present in south Korea deployed nuclear weapons there and posed constant threat of a nuclear war to the DPRK. The DPRK's access to nukes is a measure for defending the dignity of the country and nation and ensuring peace on the peninsula and in the rest of the world. If the U.S. truly hopes for the denuclearization on the peninsula and in the rest of the world and the improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations, it should immediately pull its aggression forces and nukes out of south Korea and lift all sanctions against the DPRK without delay and completely roll back its hostile policy towards latter. The progressive political parties and organizations of Peru fully support the statement of the spokesman for the NDC of the DPRK and the statement of the spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry and express solidarity with the Korean people in their just struggle for independence against imperialism. |
