The history of the steadily developing DPRK-China friendship is associated with the feats performed by the CPV fighters by displaying matchless heroism and self-sacrificing spirit in the Korean front under the banner of resisting America and aiding Korea, safeguarding the home and defending the motherland.

In 1950 the CPV fighters, in response to the call of Chairman Mao Zedong, entered the Korean front without hesitation to help the Korean people in their decisive battles against the U.S. imperialists. Their precious soul is imbued in all parts of the DPRK.

The Chinese people's resisting America and aiding Korea showed that the DPRK-China friendship established in the hard-fought battles for realizing the noble idea and cause is solid and immutable.

A series of changes have taken place in international relations with the passage of time but the friendly relations between the two countries have continued.

The invincible DPRK-China friendship based on the close friendship and trust between the two peoples is steadily developing thanks to the deep concern and energetic activities of the leaders of the two countries.

It is the duty and noble mission common to the two peoples to consolidate the historical roots of the DPRK-China friendship and carry forward the tradition of unity and obligation in which they have shared the life and death in hard time.

No matter how the times and international relations may change, the DPRK will make all efforts to promote the development of the DPRK-China friendship, a legacy bequeathed by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
