Jairo Gonzalez Trujillo, president of the Colombian group, said that President Kim Il Sung laid the organizational and ideological foundation for building a revolutionary party in the crucible of the anti-Japanese war and founded the WPK after the liberation of Korea and wisely led it to fulfill its role as the general staff of the revolution.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into the invincible revolutionary party and firmly defended socialism, he said, adding that it has brought about unprecedented leap forward and innovations in the building of a thriving nation under the Songun leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Aleksandr Neves Rosendo da Silva, chairman of the Brazilian center, said:

The formation of the DIU by Kim Il Sung on Oct. 17, 1926 was a historic declaration heralding the start of the Korean revolution.

This also marked a landmark event which brought about a fundamental turning point in carving out the destiny of the Korean people.

The Korean revolution which started from the DIU is now dynamically advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Victory and glory are always in store for the WPK carrying forward the history and tradition of the DIU.
