The Chinese News Service said:

The 4th meeting of company commanders and political instructors of the KPA took place in Pyongyang on October 22 and 23.

The supreme leader of the DPRK Kim Jong Un guided the meeting.

He made an opening speech at the meeting.

He heard with keen interest all the speeches made by company commanders and political instructors throughout the meeting. He invited the commander and former political instructor of the Kamnamu (persimmon tree) company there to have a photo taken with them.

He made a historic speech at the meeting.

He awarded the title of Labor Hero, gold medal (hammer and sickle) and Order of National Flag First Class to the company commanders and political instructors who performed distinguished feats.

He made the closing address at the meeting.

He declared the meeting closed, expressing the belief that all participants in the meeting would augment the might of the People's Army in every way, united close around the Workers' Party of Korea, and thus perform their duty in carrying out the revolutionary cause of Songun.

The Chinese newspaper Global Times, Chinese Central TV, Phoenix Satellite TV, Hong Kong, China and the Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reported the same news.

The Chinese Central TV telecasted a photo of Kim Jong Un.
