The formation of the DIU 87 years ago was an epoch-making event in the Korean people's struggle to found a revolutionary party of the working class which broke with factionalism and flunkeyism.

Thanks to the formation of the DIU by President Kim Il Sung the Korean revolution could advance along its right path and there began a new era of history in which the popular masses became masters of their destiny.

Its formation was a historical declaration of a new start of the Korean revolution and the glorious Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) began striking its roots from the DIU.

The programme of the DIU is being successfully implemented by the WPK.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into an invincible revolutionary party.

The WPK is carrying forward the tradition of the DIU, holding high the great banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Only victory and glory are in store for the WPK and the Korean people as they are led by Kim Jong Un.
