He was accompanied by his wife, Luvsanvandan Bold, minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Khaltmaa Battulga, minister of Industry and Agriculture, Tsagaandari Enkhtuvshin, secretary general of the National Security Council, Tserendejid Byambajav, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Khabshai Erjan, vice-minister of Road Transport, Lundeg Purevsuren, National Security and Foreign Policy Advisor to the President, Amgalanbaatar Ganbaatar, advisor for mass liaison and mass policy to the President, Pureb Altangerel, secretary of state for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and other suite members.

They were greeted by Kim Yong Nam, Pak Ui Chun, foreign minister, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, O Kum Chol, vice-chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Son Kwang Ho, vice-minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Kwak Il Ryong, vice-minister of Land and Maritime Transport, Hong Kyu, DPRK ambassador to Mongolia, Vice-Chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Kim Jin Bom who is chairman of the DPRK-Mongolia Friendship Association, and officials concerned.

Present at the airport were Manibadrakh Ganbold, Mongolian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials and diplomatic envoys of different countries.

A welcome ceremony took place at the airport for the Mongolian president.

The president together with Kim Yong Nam reviewed the guards of honor of the Ground Force, Navy and Air and Anti-Air Force of the Korean People's Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards.

Korean women workers and children of the Mongolian embassy here presented bouquets to the president and his wife.
