10,000-strong Candlelight Action Launched in S. Korea
Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- An all-people candlelight meeting took place Saturday at the plaza of Seoul Railway Station in demand of the probe into the truth behind the illegal interference of the Intelligence Service (IS) in the election.

Present at the meeting were more than 10,000 people including members of the civic and public organizations and labor movement organizations such as the Emergency Situation Council to Denounce IS Interference in Presidential Election for Political Operation, Solidarity for Progress, Teachers Union and Freight Workers' Solidarity.

Speeches were made there.

Pak Sok Un, co-representative of the emergency situation council, said that the Park Geun Hye regime openly blocks investigation into the case of the illegal interference in the election.

Typical expression of it is pressing Chae Tong Uk to resign his post as "Public Prosecutor General" and excluding Yun Sok Yol from the special investigation team, he said, adding:

All the moves are to cover up the truth behind the interference in the election.

Park Geun Hye is behind the power organ's interference in the election. The unjust power will surely end up in ruin as dictator Park Chung-Hee met a miserable end 34 years ago.

Ri Thae Ho, secretary general of the Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society, called for introducing a special investigation for probing into truth behind the interference in the election and disclosing the power organ's interference and Park Geun Hye's plot to cover up the case.

Pak Ju Min, secretary general of the Bar Association for Democratic Society, stressed the need to surely punish those related to the unprecedented crime.

Ri Yong Ju, senior vice-chairman of the Teachers Union, said that the Park Geun Hye regime has gone frantic in its moves to kill Teachers Union. The Teachers Union will receive not only discharged teachers but also all citizens supporting the union as unionists, he declared.

Sin Sung Chol, chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions, said that workers are laid off in different places and trade unions including the Teachers Union are oppressed by the "government". The Park Geun Hye regime disregarding the people will face severe punishment, Sin added.
