Rodong Sinmun Terms South Korea Colony of U.S.

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- South Korea is entirely dependent on the U.S. in all fields of politics, economy and military affairs, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an article. It goes on: The postponement of the "transfer of the right to command wartime operations", an acute political issue in south Korea, clearly suggests the wretched plight of the puppet forces as colonial stooges of the U.S. If one is subject to others politically, one cannot escape military subjugation and ever-deepening military subjugation is bound to increase the political dependence. The U.S. has all issues under its control, keeping south Korea under its military control. It is, therefore, natural for the U.S. to step up the interference in internal affairs and domination over south Korea, putting the puppet forces under strict political control. The U.S. interference and backstage manipulation exercised strong influence on the appearance of the puppet regime, its shaping of policies and the whole course of their pursuance. The present south Korean authorities are a group of stooges and the regime of servants who make south Korea totally dependent upon the U.S. politically, economically and militarily. This being a hard reality, the south Korean regime is foolishly behaving like "an advanced state," unaware of how others view it. This provokes side-splitting laughter. The puppet forces are busy making foreign trips to have talks with other countries and propose something. This is nothing but a cynical ploy to improve their image with the help of outside forces and bring under control the deplorable situation where they find themselves in an abyss of ruin, cursed and censured by people at home. No matter how desperately the puppet forces may try to shake off the ill-fame as colonial stooges, they can never change their miserable position. |
