Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- Media of foreign countries dedicated special write-ups to the 68th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 87th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) in the period from October 17 to 23. The Nepalese newspaper Gorkha Express carried an article titled "Nearly 70 years of leading the people". The article gave a detailed account of the fact that the WPK has victoriously advanced the cause of socialism without the slightest mistake or deviation from its line despite all difficulties and trials of history. The Brazilian Committee for Remembering General Secretary Kim Jong Il posted an article titled "87th anniversary of DIU" on its website. The article said: October 17, 1926 is the day when President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, formed the DIU. Nearly 90 years covered by the Korean revolution is a pride history in which the WPK has won victories only under the uplifted banner of independence, Songun and socialism held high by the DIU. The army and people of the DPRK are now making a new history of Songun Korea under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean army and people carrying forward the great tradition of the DIU under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Un. The Indian newspaper Indian and World Event in its article titled "The historic roots of the WPK" said: The formation of the DIU marked a historic event of special significance in the carving out of the destiny of the Korean people and the modern history of Korea. The WPK, a guiding force of Korean society, struck its historic roots in the DIU. The WPK is now powerfully encouraging the Korean people in the struggle to build a thriving socialist nation holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem as its first secretary. |
