After graduating from Kim Il Sung University more than 50 years ago, he worked as a teacher and a department head at the university before becoming the director of the institute.

Under his guidance, a number of students have won academic degrees.

He wrote some 70 theses and 30 textbooks and reference books, including "Chemistry on Flotation Reagents" and "Flotation Reagents".

He also developed over 20 kinds of ore-dressing reagents and sorted out four kinds of nano and subnano matters from industrial wastes, with which he managed to make 10 kinds of sci-tech products, thus rendering a big benefit to the state.

He was awarded 50 certificates of national scientific and technological successes, some of which are national inventions certificates.

He won high appraisal at the national sci-tech presentation in the field of nano-technology and the 28th national scientific and technological festival, which were held last year and this year.

In recent years, he wrote "Encyclopedia of Ore-Dressing Reagent", classified into three volumes.
