Present at the banquet were Mun Kyong Dok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) who is concurrently chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Colonel General of the Korean People's Army O Kum Chol, officials concerned, weightlifters and coaches.

Kim Yong Jin addressing the banquet offered congratulations to Om Yun Chol and Kim Un Guk who gave pleasure to supreme leader Kim Jong Un by winning gold medals in the championship and displayed the honor and dignity of Songun Korea.

He said that their achievements were attributable to the wise leadership and loving care of Kim Jong Un who exerted great efforts to make the country rank among the sports powers as soon as possible true to the behest of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

He called upon all the sportsmen to glorify the honor of the country by winning gold medals in international matches through intensive training to get them prepared physically and in technique, bearing in mind the loving care and trust of Kim Jong Un.

Om Yun Chol in his reply extended the best glory and thanks to Kim Jong Un in reflection of the loyalty and gratitude of all sportspersons.

He said he was greatly excited to look up at the DPRK flag being hoisted amid the playing of the national anthem.

He renewed his pledge to conduct intensive training and win the international matches and thus uphold the will of Kim Jong Un to build a sports power.
