Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria who is chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the national committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events to praise and widely introduce the brilliant revolutionary life and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise.
