Tuition Waiver Program for Korean Schools Demanded in Japan

| Tokyo, October 30 (KNS-KCNA) -- Students of Korea University of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) staged a demonstration outside the building of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan on October 25, demanding the tuition-free program for Korean schools. They condemned the Japanese government for excluding Korean schools from the tuition-free program for senior high schools. They vowed to continue actions until the program is applied to Korean schools. The participants reflected their firm will, shouting a slogan calling for defending Korean schools and singing songs. Mothers of students joined their children in the action. |
