They laid a bunch of flowers before the statue of leader Kim Jong Il on the campus and paid tribute to him.

The president made an address before teachers and students of the university.

He said he was pleased to visit the university and referred to the politics, economy, history, culture and foreign policy of Mongolia.

President Kim Il Sung visited Mongolia two times, he said, adding that the relations between the two countries have a long history and tradition. He expressed the belief that the friendly relations between the two countries associated with the wisdom and efforts of the leaders of the elder generation would grow stronger.
