Marshal Kim Jong Un received congratulatory messages from heads of political parties and states on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the WPK.

They included the chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party who is president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, president of the Syrian Arab Republic and the coordinator of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico.

Kim Jong Un was presented with gifts by Chinese and Russian businessmen.

The Central Committee of the WPK received a floral basket from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Figures of political parties and organizations in various countries paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries or sent floral baskets and bouquets to them.

They included the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Laos who is member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the party, first secretary of the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) and the chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy.

The top prize of exhibits and top prize of designs were awarded to Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia, immortal flowers of the sun, at the 8th China Flower Expo held in Jiangsu Province.

Progressive political parties and organizations in different countries and figures of all social strata in their statements and talks praised the immortal leadership exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in the party building and expressed belief that the WPK led by another illustrious commander would demonstrate its might as the eternal party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Progressive humankind joined the Korean people in significantly celebrating the 68th anniversary of the WPK by holding colorful events including Kimjongilia shows, meetings, seminars and books and photo exhibitions.

In different countries works of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un were published in booklet or carried by newspapers or aired by radio and TV broadcasting services or posted on websites to mark the significant day.

Those works included "3. Let Us Reunify the Country Independently and Peacefully" from "Report to the Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea on the Work of the Central Committee", "On the Fundamentals of Revolutionary Party Building" and "Let Us Step Up the Building of a Thriving Country by Applying Kim Jong Il's Patriotism."

The Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) produced a documentary film "Peace and 60 years of Single-minded Unity" dealing with the military parade and Pyongyang mass demonstration to mark the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War and the invincible might and real picture of Songun Korea.

Foreign media carried special write-ups titled "WPK shining with august names of peerlessly great men", "Great leader of mother party" and "Source of WPK's invincibility" illustrated with photos documenting the undying feats performed by the great men of Mt. Paektu in founding and strengthening the WPK.
