Hungarian Political Party Accuses S. Korean Authorities of Suppressing Progressive Party
|
|
Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- The Hungarian Workers' Party issued a statement on Sunday in denunciation of the south Korean authorities' moves to dissolve the Unified Progressive Party (UPP) by force. The statement said: The Hungarian Workers' Party denounces the south Korean conservative group, deeply concerned about its moves to disband the UPP. The group instigated the puppet Ministry of Justice to set up the "special team for measures against unconstitutional political parties and organizations" and examine the bill concerning the dissolution of the UPP and decided to carry the case to the "Constitutional Court" while inviting lawyers. We regard these moves as the fascist oppression unprecedented in the world history. The freedom and right to activities of the political parties are guaranteed in all countries around the world. Quite contrary to the trend of the present times, the conservative group is suppressing the progressive forces to remove their core members and undermine all the forces advocating the reunification in alliance with the north and the democratic reform. This is aimed at laying a springboard for longer stay in office. The grave situation in south Korea vividly shows that the present authorities are heinous confrontation elements standing against the national reunification, putting the past military dictators into the shade. We appeal to all the progressive political parties and people in south Korea to wage a dynamic fight against the conservative group. |
