Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Bangladesh and Nepal in their statements on Oct. 27 denounced the south Korean conservative group for moving to forcibly disband the Unified Progressive Party (UPP). The Bangladeshi Group for the Study of Songun Politics noted: Recently the south Korean authorities are desperately working to forcibly dissolve the UPP. The conservative ruling forces are making a legal examination for disbanding it after letting the puppet Ministry of Justice form the "special team for measures against unconstitutional political parties and organizations" in a bid to dissolve the party which conducted activities after being organized in line with the will and demand of the working masses. This despicable politically-motivated farce of the present conservative ruling forces in south Korea is meant to indiscriminately suppress and trample down even legitimate political parties and organizations to realize their wild ambition to stay long in power and to attain the political goal of their faction. The grave situation prevailing in south Korea indicates a fascist violence going against the trend of the times which advance toward justice and progress. The Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea and the Nepalese Association for Supporting the Songun Politics in their joint statement termed the move of the south Korean conservative group to forcibly dissolve progressive political parties and organizations and ban papers in south Korea a blatant challenge to democracy, freedom and human rights and an inhuman act. The statement urged the group to stop at once its act of provoking fratricidal confrontation and conflict, and abide by the norms of democracy recognized by the world. |
