Present at the talk were officials of The Chinese People's Daily including President Zhang Yannong, Editor－in－Chief Yang Zhenwu, Vice-president He Chongyuan and Secretary General Yan Xiaoming and Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China.

Liu Qibao said:

The Sino-DPRK friendship is a precious common wealth provided by the revolutionaries of the elder generation of the two countries and it is an invariable policy of the Chinese party and government to continuously boost the bilateral friendship.

The Chinese party and government will continue to deepen the friendship with the comrades of the DPRK on the principles of inheriting tradition, facing up to the future, building good neighborly friendship and strengthening cooperation.

I am pleased to learn that the people of the DPRK have explored for the way of development suited to the reality in the country and made lots of achievements under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

I am sure that they will make further achievements in the building of a thriving nation by dint of single-minded unity in the spirit of fortitude.

He expressed his expectation that the two party papers will contribute to the development of the relations between the two parties by expanding exchange and cooperation and enriching their content.
